Step 1: Access Domain Settings in Namecheap
Log into your Namecheap account.
Locate the domain you want to connect (e.g.,
surpluscalls.co
).Click on Manage next to your domain.
Navigate to the Advanced DNS tab.
Important: Ensure you have access to edit DNS settings before proceeding.
Step 2: Connect the Domain in Your CRM
Open your CRM Settings.
Scroll down and find the option for Domains.
Click Connect Domain.
Enter your domain name and click Continue.
Select Add Records Manually.
Step 3: Add DNS Records in Namecheap
Go back to Namecheap’s Advanced DNS settings.
Locate the Add a New Record option.
Add an 'A' Record:
Click Add New Record.
Select A Record.
In the Host field, enter
@
.Copy the Value/IP Address from your CRM and paste it into the Value field.
Click the Green Checkmark to save.
Add a 'CNAME' Record:
Click Add New Record.
Select CNAME Record.
In the Host field, enter
www
.Copy the Value from your CRM and paste it into the Value field.
Click the Green Checkmark to save.
Note: Changes to DNS settings may take some time to propagate.
Step 4: Verify and Connect to Website
Refresh your page to ensure records are saved.
Go back to your CRM Settings and click Verify Records.
Once verified, select Connect to Website.
Choose the appropriate website from the dropdown list.
Select the homepage or specific page to connect.
Click Proceed.
Step 5: Confirm Connection
Click Manage My Domain in the CRM.
Ensure it shows as Connected to a Website.
Success! Your Namecheap domain is now connected to your CRM.
