Adding Opportunities: A Step-by-Step Approach

Learn how to efficiently add new opportunities to your pipeline in Surplus Systems' CRM. This guide covers inputting opportunity details, assigning them to the correct sales stage, and ensuring they're actionable, enhancing your ability to track and manage potential deals.


1. To locate Opportunities, go to 'Deals'.

1 Firstly, click here.

2. Next, select the 'Add Opportunity' option to proceed.

2 Then, click on "Add opportunity".

3. Then, specify the contact name by selecting from the list.

3 After, click on "Contact details".

4. Next, input the contact's email in the provided field.

4 Click on the element.

5. Then, enter the contact's phone number.

5 Next, click on the element.

6. Select additional contact details from the list..

6 Following that, click on "Contact details".

7. Select a pipeline for this contact.

7 Then, click here.

8. Choose a stage for this contact.

8 Click on the element.

9. Choose a status.

9 Following that, click here.

10. Provide Opportunity value.

11. Select an owner.

11 Click on "Unassigned".

12. You may also add followers for this contact.

12 Afterwards, click on the element.

13. Fill in the business name for this contact.

14. Provide Opportunity Source information.

15. Select Tags for this contact.

15 Click here.

16. Select an Auction Date.

16 Click on "Business Name".

17. Click 'Create' to finalize and create the opportunity.

18. You successfully added an opportunity!
